Kevin Maccioli is the Director of Media Relations and Public Information for the Middlesex (Mass.) Sheriff’s Office.

Kevin has served as the lead Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (MSO) since joining the office in June 2012.  He previously worked for a decade as a newspaper reporter at the Malden Evening News and Medford Daily Mercury, where he covered a wide array of local and state issues.

As Director of Media Relations and Public Information, Kevin is responsible for overseeing the MSO’s media relations and social media efforts, supporting community affairs initiatives, and working closely with other PIOs and communications directors inside and outside Middlesex County.  He has participated in the National Institute of Corrections (NIC) Jail PIO Network, helped establish the Massachusetts PIO Network, and is currently a member of the PIO Working Group for the Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA).

Kevin is a 2002 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College (New London, N.H.), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications Studies and was a member of the baseball team for two seasons as a player and two as a student assistant.
