Episode 34: Interview of Andrew Doyle - PIO - Baltimore Fire Department Union

Andrew Doyle, Sr. is a public safety professional with over 25 years of comprehensive emergency experience. Currently, Andrew is an Emergency Boat Operator assigned to the Special Operations Command of the Baltimore City Fire Department. In plain terms, he operates the fireboats. He previously worked with the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management coordinating public information and social media. Andrew has served on the Baltimore City Incident Management Team and was deployed as part of a Maryland Incident Management Team, with other emergency management professionals from Maryland, to assist Monroe County, FL following Hurricane Irma in 2017.  He was one of the first state-side instructors selected to deliver the newly created FEMA-approved Social Media for Disasters course in 2012. He continues to deliver not only the FEMA basic social media course but also the advanced ones all across America. Andrew is blending the rapidly expanding world of social media with emergency management. His knowledge and training in fire, emergency medical services, special operations, and public information training make him uniquely qualified to do so. Additionally, Andrew is an independent consultant of Social Media for Government Agencies & Private Industry and an active blogger. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys cheering for Maryland Terps, Washington Caps, Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. For fun, he plays lacrosse. Last, but not least, he is the proud father of three children, Emily, Andrew, and Jeremy.
